Explore The Trossachs…

Discover Natural Wonders

The Trossachs Collection is inspired by the incredible countryside so close to our accommodation. It was the artists, poets and writers of the early 1800s whose poems, stories and art first put the Trossachs on the map. For the 200 years that have followed, people have visited the Trossachs to see for themselves the dramatic and romantic scenery that they so vividly described and painted.

Now we have created peaceful, modern and comfortable accommodation for you to relax in after a day spent exploring. There is plenty to see and do, including a forest the size of Glasgow, numerous lochs, pretty villages, glens, hills and mountain ranges. Some excellent attractions will get you up close to the scenery, there’s even a newly revitalised Trossachs Trail to help guide you.

Below you can see some highlights, for more information visit our local directory, linked below.

The Trossachs Trail

Follow the brown Trossachs Trail road signs to discover beautiful villages, natural wonders, charming shops and cafes, plus starting points for adventures by foot, bike and boat through the beautiful scenery.

The trail starts close to our accommodation at the Trossachs Trail. The route is 40-miles and takes in the towns of Aberfoyle and Callander. It was inspired by the Trossachs Tour of the 1800s.

Go Ape!

Go Ape! Aberfoyle is an aerial obstacle course reached by Scotland's longest zip wire. The zip slide is an incredible experience, flying over the forest above the treetops. Go Ape! is at the Lodge Visitor Centre where there walks, a dramatic waterfall and wildlife hides.

Bird Watching

At Lake of Menteith or Loch Katrine you may lucky and see an Osprey flying overhead, or even fishing. RSPB has two reserves nearby, one at Gartocharn for Loch Lomond and one for Inversnaid for the Trossachs. You can also see Red Kites being fed at Agatay Red Kites near Doune.

Attractions

Visit Loch Katrine for a sail on a cruise boat, or enjoy a wee dram and distillery tour at Deanston. For family fun head to Blair Drummond Safari and Adventure Park, you may even get up close to a moving dinosaur! Visit the ruined Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith, where Mary Queen of Scots hid, or for more history visit National Wallace Monument in Stirling.

Walking and Cycling

There are many walking and cycling routes to enjoy, something for every level of fitness. The Trossachs is all about outdoor pursuits, so get your walking boots on, hire a bike (or bring your own) and explore this incredible countryside.
